One of the most brutal and barbaric death/thrash releases from Philippines, and I believe that these guys will take you for a walk down the memory lane in the early 90s, with their barbaric raw music and sound. It has been 3 days since I started to listen to these crazy bastards' EP Judicial Blasphemy, and shit man they are really mean! From the lyrics you can feel the absolute anger, hatred, and maliciousness!!! And the music here is simply DESTROY ANYTHING IN FRONT OF THEM, is that too much to say about this album? Nope it is what it is and you can trust me and listen to the album and find out for yourself that I know what i talk about here. From the first track until the last you will be repeatedly pummeled by an intense death-thrash attack that absolutely gives you blows to your face and your fucking guts!!! The tempo is upbeat, with lots of tight fast riffs and downright thrashiness that reminds you to SOLSTICE, DEMOLITION HAMMER, and all the 90s death-thrash heroes. And of course the sound on here really cant be understated, they are raw as shit, and brutal, and that's how I like my sound for my metal right, cause you can feel the passion in all their songs. It has been 3 days since I started to listen to this EP and still i cannot stop headbanging to the songs. It is freaking awesome!!! And I like everything about this album, and they have set the bar so high and i hope they can keep it up for their full album (LP) and I hope it is just around the corner so everyone can feel the anger of these 3 loco amigos: King Ingalla, Arron Arcilla Villanueva, Paulo Culala...[By Hendra Yuwono for Busuk Chronicles.]

By Hendra Yuwono: Pemahaman akan Javanese yang blunder di scene black metal dan permasalahan kenapa kok band pocongan selalu menjadi topic percakapan yang never ending, didalam scene black metal kita ini sudah semakin berlarut dan perlu pelurusan dalam hal ini.

I guess you already know about black metal bands in indonesia that dress up like it was helloween or like actors in horror movies or haunted houses in carnivals, they think black metal is associated with ghost, ghouls, orc, and other shapes of demon and devil.

Alright, the four cold blooded killers are back with no mercy against anything that is in their path; they will slaughter all those poor bastards and send their poor souls to the hell!!!

Jagal Surabaya brings us a big atomic surprise bomb with their new EP Jagal / Slaughter, a well constructed and well produced album, and this album really got my full attention...Why??? Because this is their first f***ing time (pardon my French) making a full concept album, from scratch!!! And the concept is not just in the lyrics which tell a story about the years of slaughtering anything that moves!!! It is also a new music concept that they did on this new album!!!

And I really feel that Jagal has been reborn like the phoenix that arises from the ashes as a new found power (are these words too much to describe this new album? No I don't think so), because, if you look back to their 2013 Among the Massacre album, this EP Jagal is really 1000% different. In this album Jagal is giving a more old-school feeling and a bit of technical playing in some parts of their songs, and you will not find any blast to the beats to the blastbeat. This album has mid-paced songs like any old-school death metal album in the early 90s; even so these guys succeed in delivering the concept of slaughtering to our face like a machete slash to your stomach and spill out your every guts!!!

And different is not a bad thing, see Jagal is different but they still stand strong and they can prove difference is power!!!

Secara produkusi album ini digarap sangat baik, dan hasil mixing bagus, semua details suara jelas, lagu lagu didalam album ini easy listening, cuman sayang terlalu Metallica, beberapa track tambal sulam dari part lagu lagu metallica dari era Kill 'em all, Ride the Lightning, ...and Justice for All, black album, semestinya mereka lebih percaya diri jangan terlalu banyak comot part lagu lagu Metallica, dan ada satu track opening Slayer begitu masuk lagu Metallica. Dan pada part guitars juga Lead melody juga terlalu Kirk Hammett, vocal terlalu James Hetfield, pattern drums juga terlalu Lars, bagi saya sayang karena kurang originalitas jati diri bandnya, semestinya bisa lebih baik, semoga dialbum berikut lebih baik lagi.
